    Knitting and Crochet Blogging Week

Write about your typical crafting time. When it is that you are likely to craft – alone or in more social environments, when watching TV or whilst taking bus journeys. What items do you like to surround yourself with whilst you twirl your hook like a majorette’s baton or work those needles like a skilled set of samurai swords. Do you always have snacks to hand, or are you a strictly ‘no crumbs near my yarn!’ kind of knitter.

I tend to knit only when I'm at home, be it on my own or with my housemate or with friends. I once knit on public transport but seemed to get more tangled than usual. Having to knit from a bag at my feet instead of sprawling over the seats, and having to be wary about poking the people next to me proved tricky. I probably wouldn't do it again unless I was desperate to get something finished.

I did however once knit whilst I was at A&E--that time I got bitten on the ankle and it'd turned black. I sure as hell wasn't going to sit there for hours doing nothing. I'm sure that the people around me were laughing to themselves as I tried to chase balls across the floor knitting fair isle.

As a girl, I like to multi-task. If I'm knitting, I'm probably also watching TV. I'd at least have to have something going on in the background. I've also been known to simultaneously knit and play games; especially World of Warcraft whilst I'm waiting for someone to come back to life or explain tactics I already know.

My knitting and crochet time is not that different to my usual lazy time, except that I have some needles/a hook in my hands and some wool next to me. I have no problem eating around my knitting - I usually knit only for my own enjoyment, so I figure if I don't mind crumbs in my knitting then that's all that matters! I'm a bit of a grazer, and I like to have a tin of biscuits or some sweets on hand at all times.

So this post concludes the second annual knitting and crochet blog week! I'm sure I'll continue to update on my knitting adventures (or even the adventures of Mousey) in the future.
