WIP Wednesday - Rainbow Lace Scarf
So I still had a whole bunch of the same yarn (King Cole Mirage in shade #872) that I used to make my rainbow mitts so I decided to knit a scarf to go with them. The pattern I chose is a lace pattern, Branching Out by Susan Pierce Lawrence. So far, it doesn't really look like much - all bunched up so you can't see how pretty the lace pattern really is. I had to dangle it over a window to get it to show up in the photo. I can't wait to finish and block it.

Unfortunately, I already made a couple of errors. I don't have the patience to rip it out and start over, though, so I'm just hoping that nobody will notice. I've kinda given the game away by writing that here, haven't I?
I hoped that I might have another WIP to write about today, but I don't quite yet. On Saturday I crafted a 'practice' sock, in preparation for attempting to knit my very first pair of real socks. Then I ordered some sock yarn - Crazy Zauberballs in shades Indian Rose and Riverbed. Well, I can say one thing, they sure are crazy.

I still haven't decided which one to use first, but I'm leaning towards the Indian Rose. Maybe I will have cast on by the end of tonight.
One last thing, I want to give a shout out to Brownberry Yarns who, as well as being reasonably priced and quick to deliver, are also mind readers. Parma Voilets were shipped with the order - my favourite candy!
BEAUTIFUL scarf. WOW, and no one will notice your mistakes, trust me. Also, YAY on your first pair of socks. I cast on my first pair last night. What pattern do you plan to use? The yarn you bought is beautiful.
I'm with Tami, no one will notice the errors with that beautiful pattern and yarn! No need to frog. ;)
And those sock yarns are fabulous. I really love the Indian Rose, I can't wait to see what you do with it.
Gorgeous scarf :) i'm so jealous - wish i knew how to make such gorgeous clothes as well (especially multicoloured ones hehe) - and don't worry your mistakes are really unnoticable (if there are any in the photo! we're all just lost looking at the gorgeous pattern hehe)
